A free course run by Red Ladder’s Artistic Director, Cheryl Martin for those pursuing a career in the industry.
Three intensive weekends covering:
- Devising
- Tackling text
- How to structure rehearsals
- How to brief and work with designers and collaborators
- Working with actors
- A public showcase
You will be directing graduates of the Red Ladder acting course, performing pieces written by graduates from our writing courses in a final showcase.

This course is open to anyone 18+ living in West Yorkshire. If you’re not in the county but you wish to attend do email us info@redladder.co.uk and we will add you to the waitlist.
Please note, for this course you pay a £10 deposit which is refunded in your first session. If you want to participate but this is a barrier to you attending, please drop us a line as we would love you to come.
