Global Justice Workshops

Red Ladder working with Schools and Community Groups

The current ‘Global Justice’ programme has recently developed to meet the needs of schools, colleges and community groups who have contacted Red Ladder in order to support their diversity agenda. The programme uses games, role play, reflection and group discussion to engage, inspire and equip people of all ages to fulfill their potential as positive social change advocates within their schools and local communities.

Major themes that feed into our sessions:
Diversity – Being able to Accept, Appreciate and Celebrate Anyone and Anything that feels different.
Global Justice – A response to the idea that ‘we do not live in a just world.’
Physical and Emotional Well Being – Understanding the need for a healthy mind and body
Sustainability – Meeting the needs of the current generation without jeopardising the potential for future generations to do the same.
Rank and Privilege - Raising awareness of how power is distributed on a personal, local and global level and how we can use power wisely.
Non Violent Communication - A way of communicating that helps us reduce conflict by learning to express our feelings and needs and hear the feelings and needs of others.

Be the change you wish to see happening in the world’  Mahatma Gandhi

We seek to engage with educational and community organisations over a long term period and to motivate and equip young people to become Social Change Advocates within their own schools or local communities; helping to foster an ethos of caring and respect.
